Alumni and Friends Invited to Travel
With FHU on a Hawaiian Adventure in 2025
Alumni and friends of Freed-Hardeman University are invited to take advantage of an amazing travel opportunity with the relaunch of the alumni travel program. Chris Ramey, director of alumni engagement, will be escorting a group of travelers on a tour of Hawaii March 23 – April 1, 2025. The 10-day trip includes visits to three islands: O’ahu, the Big Island and Maui.
Organized by Collette, a trusted premier travel company, the Hawaiian itinerary includes three days at Prince Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii; three days in the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa in Kona, Hawaii; and three days at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa in Lahaina, Hawaii. Some highlights of the tour include visits to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a coffee bean farm, a lei making class and a traditional Polynesian luau.

Who can Travel with FHU?
The trip is open to alumni, donors, university friends, and Christians who wish to travel in the company of other Christians and those associated with FHU.
How do Travelers make Reservations?
All reservations are made online through a unique web page set up for FHU. The web page contains the reservation form, full trip itinerary, and an FAQ section to answer questions.
What if the web page doesn't answer a specific question a potential traveler has?

Do travelers pay for the trip upfront?
No. A deposit of $698 per person is required, and the final balance is paid in January 2025.
How many spots does FHU have for this trip?
We have reserved 30 openings on this tour. In mid-September, we will assess our reservations and determine if we want to close the trip or leave spaces open for additional travelers.
Is this trip physically strenuous or does it involve a high level of physical activity?
Collette rates their trips on a 1 – 4 activity scale, with one being the lowest level of activity and four being the most.

Yes. Collette offers the option to purchase a travel protection plan for $379 per person due at the time of reservation.
