Admission Requirements
APPLICATION PROCESS
The application process for the MBA program at Freed-Hardeman University is a four-step process.
These steps are:
- Submit an Application for Admission.
- Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcript(s) from schools previously attended.
- Submit a copy of a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.
- Submit a signed Payment and Credit Agreement.
PROGRAM PREREQUISITES
Undergraduate coursework must provide equivalents to the Common Professional Component (CPC) requirements recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Applicants with an undergraduate degree in business satisfy this requirement.
For other applicants, the Director of the M.B.A. program will evaluate transcripts to determine if all CPC requirements have been met. Individuals with CPC deficiencies will be enrolled in BUS501 each semester until all areas are satisfied.
TOEFL (TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE)
The English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test has three formats. A score of at least 500 on the paper-based exam, a score of at least 173 on the computer-based exam or a score of at least 61 on the Internet-based exam is required of all students for whom English is a second language.
SPECIAL ADMISSION
Special admission into the M.B.A. program may be available for undergraduate senior students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who are within nine (9) semester credit hours of meeting the requirements for a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants must submit undergraduate transcripts from all institutions attended. The student is not considered a graduate student and may take no more than nine (9) M.B.A. credit hours. M.B.A. courses taken cannot be used to meet undergraduate requirements.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
In each term, students must register for classes a minimum of one week before the scheduled start date of classes. This will ensure time for students to obtain the required books and materials and for the course instructor to adjust the course’s learning activities to the class size.

Tuition Reimbursement Policy
The M.B.A. Program now offers a tuition reimbursement policy for those students who have a reimbursement plan with the company they work for. The form must be submitted each academic term and sent to the Office of Student Accounts. It must be received no later than one week after the registration date for a class.
