Henderson, Tennessee – (June 21, 2024) – Mid-South Youth Camp will once again host its popular fish fry fundraising event to benefit the well-loved Christian camp. This year’s 41st annual MSYC Fish Fry will be held July 27, from 4-6 p.m., at 260 Youth Camp Loop near Henderson, Tennessee.
Tickets may be purchased at the event and are available for $15 each for adults, $10 each for children ages 6-11, and free for children ages 0-5. This year’s ticket price includes all-you-can-eat catfish or chicken, sides, drink, and dessert. Guests may choose to drive through to pick up their meal or may dine in the Tucker Family Dining Hall.
MSYC Board members have generously donated to cover all meal costs, so 100% of each ticket price may be used for needed camp improvements.
“The annual MSYC Fish Fry is a 41-year tradition,” MSYC Board member Beth Naylor said. “I encourage all the community to come out and get a delicious meal as well as experience Mid-South Youth Camp. Many thanks to the Spears family, Robert Farrow, and the Lomax Church of Christ for their generous efforts toward this fun event.”
What began as a two-week camp at Chickasaw State Park’s Lake Lajoie more than 60 years ago has expanded to a 77-acre site just off U.S. 45 South. With its slogan, “a special place where good things happen,” MSYC is operated by Freed-Hardeman University and serves as a place for young people to grow closer to God and to each other during eight weeks of summer and one weekend each fall.
