Henderson, Tennessee – (July 25, 2024) – Freed-Hardeman University’s golf program invites golfers and sponsors to tee off for the 2024 Annual Golf Scramble at the Chickasaw Golf Course in Henderson, Tennessee, Saturday, September 28, at 9 a.m. For each four-person team, a $500 entry fee will cover green fees, a cart, a catered lunch, tee gifts and prizes.
“The FHU golf program fundraiser is crucial to the success of the FHU golf team,” Head Golf Coach Randall Rhodes said. “Those who participate each year have a direct impact on our players and the development of our program. Our entire team is excited about the event and spending time with our supporters. We’re looking forward to a fun day!”
The team’s 2024-2025 schedule includes tournaments in Georgia, Indiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. The fundraiser tournament provides the additional funding needed for the FHU golf program. This includes travel expenses, uniforms and the golf resources required for practice and tournament play.

Numerous sponsorship opportunities are also available at varying levels. For $100, sponsors will receive a sign with their name or company name/logo displayed next to a hole the day of the tournament. For $250, Bronze Sponsors will receive a hole sponsor sign and welcome banner recognition. At $500, Silver Sponsors receive a hole sponsor sign, welcome banner recognition and two season passes to FHU Lions sporting events. And at $1,000, Gold Sponsors may enter a four-person team to the tournament and will also receive a hole sponsor sign, welcome banner recognition, four season passes to FHU Lions sporting events and two mulligans per player.
